An English hotel manager is suddenly and reluctantly “promoted” to a position at a newly acquired hotel in Budapest, Hungary. After he discovers that his new hotel is, in reality, a rundown “money pit” filled with many problems and secrets, he questions his promotion, but personally commits to restoring the historic hotel to its original glory. Complicating matters, he falls deeply in love with a local girl who gradually opens his eyes to the wonders of the hotel, the culture, and the city.
